Holcim Egypt Launches ECOBuild Forum, Strategic Dialogue Platform on the Future of Sustainable Construction
Emphasizes the Role of the Private Sector in Supporting the Transition to Low-Carbon Building
Cairo, 09 Feb. 2026: Holcim Egypt, a leading provider of innovative and sustainable building materials; has launched ECOBuild Forum, a high-level specialized event, focused on the future of the sustainable construction in Egypt. The event aims to drive a forward-looking dialogue on accelerating the transition towards low-carbon construction, in support of Egypt’s priorities in sustainable development and Holcim’s global strategy towards a “Net Zero Emissions” future.
The forum underscored that sustainable a pressing economic and developmental imperative, particularly in light of Egypt’s rapid urban expansion and major national projects. As demand grows for construction solutions that balance efficiency, performance, and emissions reduction, sustainable building has become central to achieving Egypt Vision 2030 and aligning with global sustainability trends. In this context, Holcim Egypt’s integrated portfolio of low-carbon products and innovative construction solutions demonstrates the sector’s ability to meet the highest standards of performance, quality, and economic efficiency.
This event was hosted by H.E. Dr. Andreas Baum, the Ambassador of Switzerland to Egypt; at the Swiss Residence, with the presence of Holcim global leaders and CEOs and executives from major real estate development companies, as well as architects and engineering consultants, reflecting the diversity of perspectives and underscored the importance of integration across the construction ecosystem.
In his remarks, H.E.
